Designating Critical Infrastructure in Space: A Matter of National Security in the AI Race

In this January 2026 CENSA Report, CENSA Fellow Annslee Perego identifies and analyzes security vulnerabilities and lapses in international law regarding the construction of data centers in space. She concludes with three recommendations for U.S. congressional legislative action and Department of Homeland Security policy reform to better secure extraterrestrial infrastructure.
